Stemity is holding a Java camp this summer! The camp will be a hands-on approach to learning Java, with no prior experience required. Students who join the camp will need access to a Java compiler (replit.com has one that is free to use within the browser, and apps such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, or NetBeans work as well).
The camp is held every day during the week of August 8-12, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM PDT.
Topics Covered:
- Methods
- Loops
- Conditionals
- Input/output
- Arrays
- Object-oriented programming
- Basic implementations of data structures
The camp will be conducted by Shruti Badrish, who has seven years of coding experience and multiple accomplishments in this field, including a top score on the AP Computer Science A exam (which utilizes Java) and awards from large-scale competitions such as Science Olympiad’s Java-based event Code Analysis.
Sign up here to join the camp, and here to be placed on our mailing list!
